About MintNumber
Last updated
MintNumber is a personal-finance calculator hub built on a simple idea: the math should be fast, free, and auditable.
What we do
We build calculators for the decisions that actually move your money — mortgages, debt, retirement, and investing. Every calculator is free, works without a sign-up, and runs in your browser. Where it matters, we use real historical data instead of toy assumptions, and we show the formula behind every result.
How we’re different
- Transparent math. Each calculator has a methodology section with the actual formula, our assumptions, and what we don’t model.
- Real data. Backtests use real price history, sourced and dated.
- Privacy-first. Your inputs stay in your browser. No accounts, no dark patterns.
- Mobile-first. Built to be excellent on a phone, where most people actually run the numbers.

A reminder
We publish tools and education, not advice. Our results are estimates — see the disclaimer. Always verify the numbers and talk to a licensed professional before making a decision.
